Pets of Wheels of Connecticut Board of Directors

Elaine Papanic
Founder and President
info@petsonwheelsct.org

Elaine Papanic, Founder and President of Pets on Wheels of Connecticut has volunteered with various animal welfare causes for over 30 years. She has personally experienced the enormous benefits pets have made in her own family and other people’s lives.

While volunteering in an animal shelter for over eight years, she saw many cats and dogs languishing in cages for months, just waiting to love someone and be loved.

Elaine became convinced that there had to be a way to help both the abandoned shelter animals and
people in need of their companionship.

Elaine PapanicThe question became – How do we reach people who would benefit from pet companionship, need outside assistance for this to happen and match them with a dog or cat who needs a permanent home?

The answer, create a professional referral network and support system.

The mission of Pets on Wheels of Connecticut was launched!
